The Napa Valley Performing Arts Center has partnered with the San Francisco Conservatory of Music to bring graduate and post-graduate students to the valley as artists in residence.
Early Childhood Education: In partnership with the Napa County Office of Education, we offer preschool arts integration. Our classes bring together music, movement and storytelling for ages 0-5 in the Napa Valley. AIR musicians visit over 21 classrooms, thus bringing arts integration and music to over 400 children in the Napa Valley. We also offer free live “Lolli-POPS!” performances, an “Instrument Petting Zoo” and “Instrument Making Workshops” for kids 0-5.
K-12: Our artists in residence offer workshops, classes and performances in schools and for the Napa Valley Youth Symphony. We also host student competitions such as the annual “Solo Instrumental Competition” with Music in the Vineyards. We are also home to high school musicals, a cappella performances and slam poetry nights.
